This course is an introduction to kinesiotaping and will provide learners with the underpinning knowledge and skills necessary to apply k-tape in order to provide support, alleviate discomfort and aid the natural healing process of a range of musculoskeletal complaints. This course is aimed at Physiotherapists, Sports Massage therapists, Personal Trainers, Osteopaths and rehabilitation therapists.
You will learn the physiological effects of kinesio tape and the specific taping techniques for 16 of the most common injuries including back pain and neck pain in order to relieve pain, reduce swelling and provide postural support using the most current practical application techniques and scientific evidence.

Entry Requirements
A suitable Level 3 Therapy qualification e.g. Active IQ Level 3 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy or Personal Training; some experience in K-taping is useful. There is also an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and Learners should have basic skills in communication pitched at level 2.
Accreditation
The qualification is accredited by ABT and provides credits within the units that can be used to join the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).
